Child Protection Investigation - Lewisham Social Services

On 14 January 2013 Lewisham Social Services commenced yet another Section 47 Report on me, this time in the guise of a Child Protection Investigation. They completed the last one in November - inexplicably requested by Judge Redgrave during my ex's visitation proceedings - on the grounds of my "social isolation". They found me a fit parent. A summary of the story so far is here. Lareo Riviere and Deborah Lowing attended my house to find a very cheerful, happy and well-looked after child and myself. They had obviously read my complaint to the IPT (Investigatory Powers Tribunal) which appears on this web site as a Diary of a Year of Police Harassment. The main aim of the meeting seemed to be to accuse me of being mental and say I was harming my child by undermining her sense of safety in her own home. I will address these concerns.

First and foremost, we have had no more unexplained breakages or disappearance of important paperwork since we had a CCTV system installed. The CCTV system arrived without a power supply and with one camera broken. However, after persisting, it was up and running early in December. Ah me, what a lovely month we have had since.

I began the meeting by asking who had made the referral prompting the investigation and I was told it was another Social Worker - Richard Hodgkiss. You may remember Richard from the previous page, a Social Worker whom I have had cause to complain to the GSCC about because he is extremely unprofessional (reading service user's Facebook and other web pages). Well, Hodgkiss "just happened" to see us out in Sainsbury's whilst I was wearing a campaign placard. This concerned him. Make up your own mind as to how he came to be there, how "professional" he is and whether or not he has a vendetta against me (for informing 500+ of his colleagues and the GSCC about his behavior).

Lareo Riviere did not want to;

- Agree that Councils & Police Child Protection Units can and DO put families under surveillance. Please see my RIPA page for information confirming this. Activists are also frequently put under surveillance to an extent that beggars belief.

- See the proof that my computers are being hacked. I have screen shots which confirm this - "keylogging" is intercepting what keys are being tapped on the keyboard. The other picture shows "other people" logged onto my computer. I have Norton Virus protection, as you can see, it does not matter and my mouse pointer moves around on its own.

- Agree that police are trained in picking locks especially for the purpose of conducting intrusive surveillance.

- Agree that it was impossible for me to have broken some of the items mentioned or IMAGINED that my dishwasher was broken (it WAS broken and would not work - a plumber confirmed that the pipes had somehow "been moved downwards" so that the machine could not pump out, therefore the motor broke). I cannot even reach the pipes and they were well-fixed to the wall.

All Lareo wanted to do was say I was mental and fixated with Richard Hodgkiss. I am not at all surprised by this tactic, along with the complete dismissal of everything I had to say in my defense. He wanted me to;

- Agree that I had "imagined" that things were broken.

I asked him what logical explanation there was for some of the breakages and told him that I do not believe that pixies, goblins, fairies, poltergeists are really interested in my daughter's Red Book or my computers. The idea that I might do this myself is laughable, given that I have arthritis and am not physically capable of some of the breakages, let alone I would want to spend money replacing perfectly good things. My daughter is not capable either.

I have complained through the appropriate channels and I have made our home environment secure, there is nothing else to say. Neither myself nor my daughter lie awake at night worrying about The Met and that everything occurred whilst we were OUT OF THE HOUSE shows that we both carried on as usual during this time. Neither of us has been cowering in a dark corner afraid to leave our home.

The Diary of Harassment published on this web site was written for the complaint to the IPT. As such it has been necessary to include events about which I was suspicious, but not certain. Frankly, the IPT's form includes sections on the use of Covert Informants because under RIPA legislation, they are often used. There have been people of whom I was suspicious, so I included this. I might also add that I felt no fear towards these people, just curiosity. Given that both Direct and Intrusive Surveillance are legal, and I have nothing to hide, they are welcome to do it. Criminal damage to my possessions is another matter.

I thought it would be interesting to ask Lareo a question;

Charlie: Could you confirm 100% that there is no police investigation of this type going on?

Lareo: I can confirm that Lewisham Social Services hold no record of this.

That is not "NO" is it? Of course it would be the police that hold the records, not Social Services.
